I went to a photography workshop with my sister today at the National Museum of Singapore. Ladies only, and the workshop touched on food and travel photography. Before I go on any further, I'll like to ask for an audience to listen to this fail story XD
I had no idea how, but I misread the location as Singapore Arts Museum, and there I was, happily leading my sister to SAM at the cafe, WHICH IS ALSO CALLED FOOD FOR THOUGHT. So when we were there, but there weren't anyone who seemed like they are attending any form of workshop, let along any notice boards indicating so. Feeling that something isn't right, I checked the location again and yeap, that's when we found out it was National Museum and not SAM. Silly me... Once again, I am really bad with directions.. I honestly have no idea how I misread it as SAM all these while and never noticed the mistake.. I probably just assumed it's SAM? Since I saw the word "Singapore Museum"
Anyway, thankfully we managed to reach there on time, because it's nearby (THANK GOD) and we got some badass stuffs in the goodie bag >:D muahahaha We each got a camera bag. Very sassy and lady like, and we also got an 8 GB thumb drive, a neck strap and some nice brochures. I really really like the camera bag weeee! Though sadly to our horror the leather was kinda damaged and it was flaking off when we took a better look at our bags when we got home.
Overall, I enjoyed myself, although I already knew most parts of what was mentioned. The travel workshop mesmerised me though. It made me look forward to my Thailand trip in January. I can't wait to try to take nice shots of there; the food, landscape and the people. I hope there are markets there too so I can get some interesting shots ^^
And here are some shots taken by my sis and me, practicing some food photography tricks we've learnt today. I gotta say, my sis sure do have an eye for food photography!
I forgot to adjust the white balance before letting her try.. So the colours turned out really tungsten XD But really, you can tell she has an eye for food photography. (: I'm impressed.
Mine. I didn't take much, I let my sis try more cause she's more interested in food photography.
Bon appetit! (:
Here lies all of my works, ranging from photographs to videos.
