After almost 2 month of "buzziness" and school work, I'm finally able to upload New Year's day vacation to Bangkok!
Over this weekend, I have the privilege to stay in the MBS hotel with my sis, aunt and uncle. It was really enjoyable, and I get to swim in the "edgeless" swimming pool MBS is well known for. (: And I like the interior of the room we were given. Spacious, cosy and relaxing. It was very comfortable. Though, I didn't take much of the interior because I don't really know how. So I just focused more on certain details.
After we checked in, we went for lunch! At TWG! Land of where my favourite macarons lies XD And damn those scrambled eggs are so good. Actually, everything there is so good.
And we had TCC for dinner.
Later on in the night, all my relatives and cousins came over for a party night. It was pretty cool, though I wanted to go down and enjoy live music really badly.. But I dropped my phone in my uncle's car... I did went down for awhile later on, just roaming around the vicinity, despite being really tempted to go further but I didn't have my phone.. ): And these are what I took.
Day 2, and we have scrumptious bunch buffet! Yum yum.
And there was a christmas carol! XD
And to end the day, some public jazz performance (Y)
Lastly! Christmas is nearing so so much! I can't wait for it ^^ I'm all in the mood already hehehe Merry Christmas all!
It's the festive month again, with lots of joy and fun, snow and spongebob. Went to Changi T3 (again) with my family, and this time, along with my relatives. They came over for a day, so why not show them around the nice christmas atmosphere?
Was experimenting with the aperture.
Anyway, hope everyone is having a good time this month. Merry christmas. (:
Today was a good excuse to wear this jacket/coat that I bought a long time ago. Not to mention for the first time as well. Went to Changi to sent my aunt and uncle off the Hokaido, Japan for their vacation! H Meanwhile, I thought it was a good opportunity for myself to practice using my 35mm. When I was looking around, I noticed that there were a lot of kids. So I made it the theme of the day. I was really tempted to ask permissions from parents to take portraits of the little kiddies, but I was too afraid, nervous and shy. == I wanted to take pics of other strangers too but yeah.. I can't make it speaking to random people.
So mostly are candid shots and hope I did well today.
A newly (I think) opened aquarium in Resorts World Sentosa. The viewing aquarium was just magnificent, I would go there all the time if the entry is free hehe Such a lovely place.
And well, um, I'm trying a new layout I guess, cause I feel that putting all the images in a slideshow seems sloppy.. So I am going to place my favourite pictures and those more decent looking ones individually, and the rest in a slide show.
Phnom Penh, (pronounced as "nom pen") the capital of Cambodia. A bustling little town, with its own unique culture and to me, exotic and gratifying. Constantly crossing into dimensions when you enter through a door; as you go back and forth between first and third world environments. Vehicles crowding the road like people flooding the tunnels of mrt trains during peak hours back home. I got a culture shock on the first day indeed. Especially when I'm not on very good terms with traffic....== On the bright side, my trip to Phnom Penh made me overcome the fear of jaywalking pretty.. much. I don't freak out as much nowadays hahahaha
Now, this beautiful place has wonders of its own. Tuk tuks everywhere, street hawkers, counterfeit products that sells cheaper than your average clothing, and the occasional beggars who are rather.. aggressive. Great food whatever you order, from whatever culture. They seem to know how to cook everything nicely. The best part is, they taste like home-cooked meals. mmmmmm
What is there not to love about this place? Not to mention missing it as well. And of course, I have documented my trip through images, and they do bring back nostalgic moments which unconsciously is persuading me to go back again soon, which I clearly know, isn't gonna happen for a very long time. With that, I shall end up in a state of self pity and self loathe while you enjoy these wonderful pictures of Phnom Penh.
The series below is pretty interesting, and it was also when I found out that the motorbikers were looking at my camera XD
Day two & three
I learnt the most in this day. Partly because Uncle Lam (he's a pro photographer) took me to a "field trip" in the wet market to learn how to take portraits, especially candid/street shots. Best day ever. I also love how some of them look into the camera. It was such an awesome experience. Learnt so much within that short span of time.
Here lies all of my works, ranging from photographs to videos.
