Experiment

30/3/2018

I noticed my hair got longer and I started playing with it, such as combing it in different ways and so on. I did miss having center parting and it was fun to see myself looking nooby XD And then I got an idea and started working around a look. It's not really a proper makeup thing, but more of a concept photo which I imagined can be for promoting a lipstick maybe? Anyway this was kinda fun and an impromptu thing. So yeah!
So the accidental look that gave me the idea was 2 bulk of hair covering my eyes. And I was like "hey this looks interesting" and I started to sort of "refine" the look to make it more polished, like how I would want it to look for a photoshoot. Of course it won't really be that good, because I think I'll probably need hair gel & spray to really keep the lines clean, but I just showered so all I used is water haha

So what I did first is pull the rest of my hair back to only accentuate the 2 strands, but it looked kinda weird. Perhaps the focal point on the front is too much. Then I put back my hair to the side and dampen my fringe more to keep the lines straighter and the ends more pointy. However it dries quickly as I took too long to arrange the shape.
I didn't want to stop, so I went full ahead to try lipsticks on, even though I just showered. It's easier to remove lipstick than hairspray anyway. I wanted to have like a funky lip look to go with the hairstyle, so I tried to paint my lips half on alternate sides as shown. Unfortunately it didn't look very nice. Probably because my execution sucks XD

Then I just went to apply it normally, but I exaggerated my cupid's bow to be very angular, and I also extended my smile line to make my lips look bigger. I got frustrated and took out my lip brush to help with precision. I also made a pointy end on my lower lip but you can't see it in the pic.. The dark lip colour works well with the look (and somehow it makes me look pale). Oh also this is my Urban Decay Lipstick Blackmail, which I don't wear much anymore. Plus it's kinda overdue with its shelf life, so I usually only use it for fun like now. I think this look is pretty cool! It will work well if executed better. (I foresee a future attempt maybe)
I somehow imagine this look to work well very a stunning red too, my hair colour probably will create a contrast with the lip colour. And the reddest lipstick I have is Calvin Klein's which SO got for me a long time ago. And same for this, I only use it for fun bcos shelf life. Applied with the same manner - cupid's bow minus the pointy lower lip.

I was disappointed the look wasn't as how I imagined. However I do find this look more natural and wearable. It could be the colour and execution I think.  This look is cute like those innocent looking style. And I tried to twist my hair to keep it in place, looks pretty interesting too. I then tried with my colourpop's Ultra Metallic Zebra but it could barely be seen. I forgot to take a pic. (Genius) You can also see my hair is starting to go cray and it's drying up haha

So that was it! Just a short experiment with hair and stuffs.

Till then and Happy Good Friday!
